Cool hotel room feature alert!

Rabu, 30 Mei 2012

I'm one of those hotel guests who checks in and then has to check out all the features of my room. Bathroom amenities, mini bar, views - the works. It gets even more interesting when there's something unique or well-hidden to discover. At the Hotel Bristol in Geneva, where I stayed over the weekend, I came across a very cool appliance in the bathroom that I think all hotel rooms should have.

This shiny gadget that resembles a bell and is stuck to one side of the bathroom wall is a clothes line. Cool, eh? It's the perfect feature for travellers who like to wash their clothes as they go without having to drape them over anything they can find in the bathroom. It's pretty discreet too and you just have to pull one end of the line out of the container to the other side of the bathroom, which is conveniently over the bathtub, and put it in the hole in the wall.

See how brilliant it is? Ok, so it's not an ice cream maker or a hot tub but for a clean freak like me, it's great. Something else I liked is that the Hotel Bristol doesn't use regular 'Do not disturb' signs. It has coloured signs in the form of tiebacks - the red for if you don't want to be disturbed and the green for if you want your room made up.

Have you seen anything unique or quirky in a hotel room? Leave a comment and let me know.
